About the Book
Death of a Curator picks up the investigator from Murder in the Temple a few months on. The reputation is forming. So is the list of people who’d rather he wasn’t. When a curator at one of Soar’s smaller temples turns up dead in a way that doesn’t fit any of the obvious gods, the case lands on the protagonist’s desk because no one with a Class wants to touch it.
The hardboiled rhythm of Book 1 carries forward, but the city’s grown. Different temples, different leverage, different prices for asking questions. The System still presses; the investigator still pushes back; and Soar keeps doing what Soar does.
Audiobook performed by Neil Hellegers.
read Murder in the Temple and want more of the same voice — the dry first-person narration, the noir grammar applied to a LitRPG city.
