What Readers Are Saying
Verified · Amazon & GoodreadsComedic gold. This definitely got me out of a horrendous reading slump. I haven't giggled and laughed so hard when reading a book in so long.
Still the best detective series I've ever read. Classless never meant useless — from book one he showed he was able to function and work, even if it wasn't according to the standards of others. Well done, Malory.
The MC Rivers is a Swashbuckler, making him the coolest kid on the planet! It felt like a military action book had an affair with a fantasy LitRPG adventure.
Combine a foul-mouthed sword, a disembodied Merlin, and a self-destructive main character, throw them into the Early Middle Ages with a pinch of pop culture and a dash of cultivation, and you might come close to the farcical chaos.
Oh, this one is good. It takes a Stranger Things-like theme and runs with it in unexpected directions — and it makes internal sense, unlike the hot mess of the later Netflix seasons. Try it on for size.
Full send it energy. Witty, chaotic with high stakes. It gives Guardians of the Galaxy vibes but less Peter Quill and more Han Solo. Andrew Rivers is cocky yet delightful.
The delightful chaos of Monty Python mixed with a modern dark sense of humor, all crammed into traditional Arthurian garb. Some fantastic one-liners and an irreverent, delightful approach to the myth of the once and future king.
Absolutely killer read. Great LitRPG with a surprising amount of heart. Looking forward to the next book!
A blast. Delightfully different — if you're looking for a noir-type detective story with LitRPG elements. The city of Soar is quite unique. Looking forward to the next.
Sarcasm, swords, and spiritual mayhem. The reluctant hero's voice is sharp, sarcastic, and delightfully self-aware. Bold, bizarre, and brilliantly fun.See More Reviews Per Book →
